Recently Denis returned from the XV UNISA Piano Competition in Pretoria, South Africa, where he had been for 3 weeks.
Having played three rounds with three different programs, he managed to be one of the 6 semi-finalists. After his probably best round, the semi-final, by a surprising for everybody decision of the jury this time, Denis was not among the three finalists.
Nevertheless, Denis was awarded two special prizes for his performances, namely "Best Performance of a South African Work" and "The Most Promising Semi-Finalist, who didn't go through to the Final Round". So, the results of this contest can definitely be counted as an achievement!
And, as usual, the best prize Denis has received at this competition is to get to know many amazing people, musicians and locals, ten days of traveling all over the country and discovering the culture and nature of South Africa!
